I Am Amused
Names for the Ballot/Awards suggested by Dr. Mike (continued from a comments thread):
"The 1st Annual Daria Fanfiction Awards". I think that's all one needs to say. It doesn't suggest that the awards are authoritative, nor does it suggest they are exhaustive. If someone wants to do their own awards, that's fine, but "Daria Fanfiction Awards" becomes a registered trademark of tdjc.net, all rights reserved. (::joke::)
But what would we call the award itself? The actual statuette?
Suggestions:
1) The Irony Maiden: Small iron figurine of Daria, arms crossed.
2) The Gazebo: Small wooden gazebo.
3) The Spectacle: The glasses of OH.
4) The Sherman: A small tree.
5) The Ultra: A can of Ultra-Cola, our favorite drink.
6) The Toilet: To indicate that there's a limit to how seriously we can take all this. "Hey, guess what? I won a Toilet in 2004!"
(Yes, I know there are no statuettes being given. This is an exercise of the imagination, and is as fitting here as anywhere else.)
