Regarding Daria's origins in Eichler's life: FWIW, the economic journalist Doug Henwood (publisher of the newsletter Left Business Observer and author of Wall Street: How it Works and for Whom and After the New Economy ) claims to have meet Eichler and his family socially on several occasions, and is of the impression that Daria was based on Eicher's son!
